FROSS ZELNICK was ranked in “Band 1” for Intellectual Property: Trademark & Copyright both in New York and Nationally by Chambers and Partners in its 2011 review of United States firms, as well as by Chambers Global, which surveys law firms worldwide. Noting the firm’s “full service with expertise across the board,” ROGER ZISSU, JANET HOFFMAN, SUSAN DOUGLASS, RICHARD LEHV, JAMES WEINBERGER and JOHN MARGIOTTA all received individual mentions.
FROSS ZELNICK was named Trademark Firm of the Year by Who’s Who Legal 2011. Who’s Who Legal 2011 (Trademarks 2011) also featured eleven of the firm’s lawyers (“once again . . . the firm with the highest number of inclusions in the US”). Special mention was made of the “brilliant” RONALD LEHRMAN as “universally praised for his ‘truly global approach and insight'” including successful negotiation of international trademark disputes. FROSS ZELNICK received top rankings by Managing Intellectual Property magazine in its 2011 survey of U.S. intellectual property firms. The firm was ranked in Tier 1 for Trademark Prosecution, Trademark Contentious as well as Copyright and was the only firm nationwide to be ranked in the top tier for all three categories.
FROSS ZELNICK was named Trademark Prosecution Firm of the year, Northeast, by Managing Intellectual Property (Awards 2011: London and Washington). Special note was made of the firm’s success in securing protection, in the UK, for Tiffany and Company’s signature color blue, making it the fourth color “per se” mark to achieve registration in that jurisdiction. Fross Zelnick was also listed among the few firms recognized in the category of Trademark Contentious Firms of the Year, Northeast.
