The .au Domain Administration is launching second-level .au domain availability. Priority allocation of these domains will go to holders of equivalent third-level domains (.com.au, .org.au, .net.au, etc.) that were registered before February 4, 2018 and remain registered. The priority allocation period ends on September 24, 2022 at which point .au domains become available for open registration.
.au domains that only have one registered third-level domains may be secured by that registrant with the authorization code for the third-level domains.
In the event that multiple parties hold third-level domains, the .au Domain Administration will direct the applicants to negotiate with each other, and the domain name will be allocated based on an agreement between the parties.
