Peter Silverman is a partner in Fross Zelnick's international practice. He advises clients in diverse industries, including apparel, food and beverage, hospitality, financial, entertainment, advertising, pharmaceutical, education, internet and social media. Peter's practice embraces the full range of trademark activity, including searching and prosecution, filing programs, portfolio management, licensing, and negotiation of agreements, as well as the handling of complex multijurisdictional disputes. He has expertise in due diligence, including experience in the acquisition of major businesses. Peter has supervised the transfer in title of many global trademark portfolios, involving, inter alia, assignments, mergers and changes of name. Peter has also developed a special expertise in the recapture of famous international marks, and was part of the team behind the precedent-making Whirlpool case in India. Peter also has substantial experience advising on international copyright issues.
